Albinism is genetic condition that exists everywhere in the world.
Despite this, having albinism is still a cause for exclusion, abuse and slaughter
There exists two forms of albinism:
- Ocular albinism (lack of pigmentation in the eyes)
- Skin and ocular albinism (lack of pigmentation in the skin, eyes and hair)
- Skin and ocular albinism (lack of pigmentation in the skin, eyes and hair)
Persons with ocular albinim or skin+ocular albinism are all born with visual impairments (low vision)
Persons with albinism have low vision and are subject to skin cancer if they are not protected from the sun.
In Africa, they are are particularly vulnerable to skin cancer (high cost of sun lotion), poor schooling, rejection, humiliation and slaughter.....

L'albinisme,anomalie génétique présente partout dans le monde.
Pourtant, être albinos est encore aujourd’hui source d’exclusion, de maltraitance et de massacres…
Il en existe deux formes d’albinisme :
L’albinisme oculaire (décoloration des yeux)
L’albinisme oculo-cutané (décoloration de la peau, des yeux et des cheveux)
Les personnes atteintes d’albinisme oculaire ou oculo-cutané naissent tous malvoyants. (Baisse importante de l'acuité visueLes albinos ont une vision déficiente et sont sujets à des cancers de la peau s'ils ne sont pas protégés du soleil.
En Afrique, ils sont particulièrement touchés par le cancer de la peau, (coût élévé des crêmes solaires), la déscolarisation, le rejet, l’humiliation
le massacre….
